What’s so great about these Whole30 crockpot freezer meals?
- They don’t require any cooking ahead of time, so I was able to make all of them in 90 minutes (9 minutes/meal).
- The groceries only cost $128 ($12.80/meal with 4-6 servings).
- They’re delicious! (I already tried all of them myself.)
I’ve made a lot of crockpot freezer meals, so here are some tips for making this group quickly and painlessly:
- Print the recipes and shopping list and go grocery shopping ahead of time.
- Make the meals during a time when you won’t be interrupted. (I always plan ahead so my husband can be with our four children.)
- Use baggy stands to hold the bags upright and keep your floor clean. (Not essential, but helpful.)
- Fill the bags one-by-one or in an assembly line.
- Add the meat last so it’s the first ingredient dumped into the crockpot. (I store my meat in the refrigerator while I’m filling all of the bags and then add it right before I’m going to seal them.)
- Play music, have fun, and be sure to give yourself a pat on your back when you’re done.
Since I’ve made these recipes before, I also took a couple of shortcuts to save time: I used frozen diced onions (instead of chopping fresh ones) and pre-peeled garlic cloves. I added this info to the printable recipes/shopping list above so you can do the same.
These crockpot freezer meals will last at least three months in the freezer, so you can eat all of them over 30 days or space them out over a few months. Yum!

Have you ever thought of or tried to use the crockpot liner bags instead of ziploc bags for freezing so that when it comes time to cook you just thaw and put it straight into the crockpot without needing to remove it from the bag.
I have not. I’m not sure how I would close them or store them in my freezer (I like to stack the bags). Plus I’m worried that I couldn’t get all of the air out of the bag. That being said, it might work. Please let me know what happens if you try it!
consider that heating our food in plastic emits chemicals that we may not want included as we ingest them
I have a family of 7. Hoe many servings is each meal? Thank you!
The average is 4-6, but it’s detailed by recipe in the pdf.
These look amazing and I fully plan to use them. However, some items are non compliant with whole 30, everyone should read carefully.
Thanks, though for the great ideas!

Did you read through the printable shopping list?
Come on Perri, read the list!
I noticed the same thing! For the most part they can be made Whole30 compliant, but Prego spaghetti sauce, for example, has added sugar. Definitely need to read ingredients carefully or buy a brand that is compliant. That being said, some of these recipes sound delish!
Do these meals have to be cooked in a slow cooker? Can they be done in the oven or on the stovetop instead?
They are best in the slow cooker, but I think you could cook the soups/chilis/stew on the stovetop and the other in the oven. The chicken won’t be shredded though.
You could probably use an instapot or pressure cooker and get the meals cooked in half the time! 🙂
How do I get a copy of the recipe for the Lemon Chicken with Baby Spinach and Beef and Cabbage Soup, I can’t seem to find those recipes so I can make them for the freezer! I appreciate this blog post as I will be having a baby in a month!
All of the recipes are in the printable pdf. Congrats on your pregnancy!
